ABOUT: In mareld I would like to develop a spatial depth, consisting of several auditive layers. They represent both our closest proximity with its crispy and detailed qualities, in contrast to the very faint glow at the distant horizon. A vast, indefinite space unfolds in between and connect these two extremes.The inside piano can both be the front figure of one layer, or be part of its entwined web, but it can also represent the different spatial layers all at once, as a condensed orchestra. Just as we are reminded by the intense Mareel glow at the sea, our perspective can suddenly change, and the nearly imperceptible shimmer at the horizon can appear tangible right in front of us.
