Program note:
Canción Esquirla is influenced by a group of characters in a poem by García Lorca. These persons look back at a distant series of dramatic events, which they remember with very different perspectives and feelings. There is a sense of insisting time in the piece, like looking painfully close at reality, and as a contrast there is a spatial time that refers to a faint memory that you continuously carry with you. It doesn’t progress, but it is always there, with the same colours and shades.
